Here is my RSS Feed Bot. To use this program, you must have .Net 2 installed. When you start the program it will first ask you to select a paltalk room to connect to. You must be in a room to connect to it! All the rooms that you are in will be listed and you can highlight 1 and press select. Then next screen is the main RSS Bot. You will need to go to file – font properties to change the font settings used to post in the Paltalk room. You will need to go to file – post interval to set how often the bot posts an item into the room. The bot will read all the feeds from a RSS channel and then post them one at a time into the room. When the list is empty, it will repopulate by reading the feeds again. You will need to go to file – add rss feed to add a rss channel to the bot. You can remove a rss channel by going to file – delete rss feed and selecting the feed to delete (1 at a time). The reset button at the bottom of the main window will clrear the rss feed items and get a new list.

One more note:
If all you see of the window is a small title bar, put the mouse cursor on an edge and drag the box open to the size you want it.March 6, 2007 at 9:35 pm #177036AdminAdministratorNice man just try right now using yahoo top news works perfect 🙂 Although I try with the forums rss it didnt work anyways great job man 🙂

I am playing with the rss feed from the forums now as well. I am wondering which version of rss needs to be selected and if that is an issue.
Will let ya know if I get it to work with the forums.

March 6, 2007 at 10:59 pm #177034autopilotMemberOk it works for me when I have newsfeed type = RSS 2.0, reset last visit = no, fetching = since last newsfeed or board visit, sort by = cat order, forum order, forum topic last post time…, show only new topics = no, remove your post = no, enable ip = no, and all the forums are selected to be included.
I generated the url and it works fine!

March 6, 2007 at 11:07 pm #177033autopilotMemberI found that I had not handled if nothing was returned from the rss feed, and the program above will crash. I fixed that in this version.
March 6, 2007 at 11:09 pm #177032autopilotMemberToo funny… when i try to follow the links from the RSS bot to Admin, Paltalk will not allow you to follow it… all you get is the close option… hehehehehe
