Hey, I’ve tried the admin bot, and its a great program… however, I found a couple problems.. First and most important, the bc! and rd! commands do not work properly no matter what I try. When I try the commands, the responder acknowledges the correct nick to bounce/dot, but the nick that actually gets kicked or dotted is never correct. It seems to just pick a random name from the list and kick or dot it.
I’ve tried it on several different computers all with the same result. I have made sure that the current bot user is correct, made sure the nick is correct in the admin list, and i’ve tried with several different builds of paltalk 9. same problem all the time. The thing that is even stranger is that the trigger-based autobouncers (the swearbot and the autobouncer) both work perfectly. I have the swearbot set to common spam triggers, and it hits the correct nickname everytime. the autobouncer bounces or reddots the correct nickname everytime. The bc! and rd! commands however, NEVER hit the correct name. Like I said, the responder acknowledges the correct nickname, but the bounce or dot goes to a totally different name. For this reason I can not have my admins use the feature, and I’d love to be able to..
I also have 3 suggestions for improvements… First, the bot should ignore swearbot triggers that are typed by people on the admin list.
Also, the bc/dot lists should be separated.. I would love to have a list of people that are autobounced AND a list of people to autodot. It kinda stinks to have to use the list as either/or. Its a cool feature that I would use more if the lists were separated.
Last, I dont know if this is possible, but it would be great if the bot could detect (and maybe hit enter for) paltalk error messages and break the command. For instance, I notice there are a lot of times when the bot gets stuck in a loop because it tries to bounce someone too quickly after another bounce (and the error comes up), or if I (the room owner) say a trigger, it endlessly tries to bounce me against the “You don’t have permission to bounce this user” error. This also happens with admins who have been bounced and do not take themselves off the bounce list (it endlessly tries to bounce against the “User is already on the bounce list” error. (this also goes with my suggestion to have the bot ignore triggers by ppl on the admin list).
