Hi, using Windows 98SE, installed PT and have no sound, the setup audio test will not give me a sound, I don’t care about talking, just want to listen. Using a Creative SoundBlaseter on the MoBo, the sound is a ok in ALL of my other apps, MP3s play, movies etc, all the internet apps that have sound, web browsers etc have sound. So the problem is not hardware.
When PalTalk is running the MP3 app tells me another program is using the sound card, and soon as I exit PT, the MP3 is good to go.
I do not think I have punched any mute buttons etc, I am pretty computer literate, so can some wise soul give am a place to start so I can begin using PT to its fullest.
Also, at one time I have PT installed and the audio worked fine, I uninstalled it, removed ALL traces of it from my hard drive as well as my Windows reg file.
(By the way, MSN messenger mic and sound work fine, using my Logitech cam/mic
One more thing, is there a way to stop PT from placing so many ad cookies on my computer every time I use it, I have to run a virus program each time to get rid of them.
Thanks for any help.
