hey peoples, just the other day I was wondering around on some photoshop sites, when I came across a easy iPod interface tutorial, I thought to my self , How about a Palpod…. So I have decide to make it. This PalPod will simply Control winamp, mediaplayer and Musicmatch, but at the same time it will also send the song name and artist to the room you are currently in.
I am looking into coding a standalone mp3 player for PalPod that does’nt require winamp mediaplayer musicmatch ect… but that will be later on down the track..
Anyway heres a screen shot so far, I still have a lot more coding to do.
any idea’s or fetures you guys have are very welcome.

Hmm… i like the Interface its pretty nice i dont get in to the IFace thing anymore because of API i try to stick with very lil code as possible not much point if theres no need for tons and tons of lines of code but i like the way you did the Interface by the way the misconduct bomber is still the shit 😆 would be cool to see what there staff lobby looks like with all that crap being sent into there staff lobby 😉
July 11, 2005 at 12:18 pm #180245DepartureMemberheheh yeah it would great to get into the paltalk staff lobby, Have you got any ban’s yet from using the misconduct bomber?? I have’nt recived a ban yet but i have been kicked off plenty of times hehe :O)
They keep sending me the empty paltalk window that you can only click “OK” or it might have been “Close”… I might add a speed adjuster onto it ,at the moment it’s set to send a report every second (seem to be the safest at the time of making it). I guess nothing much is stopping it from sending every 500 milliseconds or just a slider to set your speeds
July 12, 2005 at 1:51 pm #180244AdminAdministratordamn that looks nice 🙂
hey have u guys being able to get out of bans lately 🙂
July 13, 2005 at 12:06 pm #180243DepartureMemberthanks loco :O), Palpod has been made into a stand alone mp3 player using the mci32.ocx that comes with windows, it features a playlist also (still working on getting the bugs out of that).
Anyway about bans, I noticed but im not sure, that with paltalk 8.1 beta they have problems baning you… But like i said im not about this. I was kicked a few timesa from the help lobby and they closed paltalk down on me, but when i came back it kept happening about 4 or 5 times, the 6th time i came back i got a pm from the paltalk help (the guy who i was “offencive” to) asking me what i am doing an how it was possiable that i came back after getting a so called ban. I thought was strange because i have always belived it was only the paltalk admins who could ban you and second of all if they could ban you why was i getting kicked off instead of reciving a ban?/
very strange but thats the only time they have tryed to “ban” me, and i put it down to using paltalk 8.1beta must be something buggy about it
July 13, 2005 at 4:37 pm #180242DepartureMemberI have decided to post a ALPHA version of PalPod to give people a taste on what it might feel and look like….
NOTE: there are bugs in this version!!!! Hence the version name “ALPHA” some knowen issues are when you open the dialog box to selct a mp3 and you dont select any mp3s at all (non in the play list) then you try and press play it might crash on you or even freeze up, other thing is that Option Functions are not functional just yet, the reason for this is i dont want people using this on paltalk just yet untill i get rid of the major bugs that it has.
But give it a try anyway and tell me what you guys think, it only has the basic functions at the moment, like “Play” “Stop” “Prev” “Next” i would like to keep this side of the PalPod simple as too many functions just for playing music is not needed. BUT!!! if people have a request for function that i have’nt added please feel free to to post a comment stating what it is, or if it is a “Must have” function ect…
Looking forward to comments and please keep in mind this is ALPHA version so dont be suprised if it crashes on you, or gets errors
