August 7, 2012 at 9:28 am #175169monkeyMemberI tried Swear/Rec, and here is the problem:
1. When someone swear, his nickname will be saved on the list on the right side of the Bot. And I don’t know how to delete/clear those nicknames.
2. I have Timestamp on in paltalk room, and the result I got is like this:(02:05 AM) nickname1: swear
My nickname: Hey (02 stop swearing or else 🙂Seems like the code grab the time instead of the nickname.
That’s why when that person swear the 2nd time, I got this result:
(02:06 AM) nickname1: swear
My nickname: Nick Not Found! Is there any way to fix it?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you!
August 7, 2012 at 9:55 am #175168monkeyMemberI’m sorry. There are 2 more things:
About Greater, with Timestamp on in Paltalk room, the greater will grab both time and nickname, look like this:
(02:11 AM) *** nickname1 has joined the room ***
My nickname: Hey (02:11 AM) nickname1 how are you 🙂Note: If you already choose “Message me in the text as people join room” under room settings, you should not click “Enable Join” in Paltalk Bot, because it will uncheck that option in your room, and the Greeter will not work.
And about Scroller, it doesn’t take new text until I uncheck the box “Scroller on” and re-check it again. Don’t know if it’s a problem or not. Just so you know.
Ok, that’s that.
Thanks again!
November 25, 2012 at 6:01 am #175167DoubleMMemberVery good program. Thanks for having it as opened source code. I’m thinking about adding a safeList to it so that any nickname in the list is automatically unreddot. but I could not find any function that allow the unredot. is there anyway to add it?

To UNredot a user, you simply use the redot function. Send the function to a user who is already redotted, and they are UN redotted.

Thanks String. That was it :), but I could not implement what I wanted. I now need something to tell me whether the nickname is red-dot or not. It does not seem that there is any function that returns that info.
November 29, 2012 at 5:08 pm #175163ChikeMemberThe status of the nick can be determind by it’s icon/image id, its a bit of a mess compared to what it used to be.

There is an example of how to do this in the programming section of the forum. I don’t have the time to search for it at the moment, but you can DoubleM

Be sure you have the latest version of both the bot and Pal.

January 18, 2013 at 10:03 am #175158drphilMemberMy newly purchased Paltalk Bot will no longer post in Paltalk, after a Paltalk maintenance service update.
