I am running the Satisfaction Scroller 8.3 build 122 and up until yesterday was working fine. Now the issue is when I set it up to run, it looks like the text is being inputed on the screen of the screen name sending it, but it actually never reaches the room.
In other words, noone else is seeing the text even though it looks like it was sent.
Any ideas?
I thought loco mentioned in a thread there was a new build of PalTalk out… is that true? If so, could that be the problem?
Thanks guys.
June 20, 2006 at 12:02 pm #178965AdminAdministratorUmm that i need to check, i mean if it looks like it sends the text then it might be somethign else, which paltalk version are you using, and can they see regular text you send, i mean without using the sastifaction scroller?

Yes, they can see text if I just type it in normally.
June 20, 2006 at 8:34 pm #178963FuturesActionMemberloco – I upgraded to build 126 on my PalTalk and the Greeter and Satisfaction Scroller. The greeter works fine in whisper mode, but the Satisifaction Scroller is still not working – it is putting the text in and on that screen it even appears it was sent to the room but on my other screens, there is nothing there.
When I type text myself it works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
June 22, 2006 at 1:47 pm #178962FuturesActionMemberloco – I noticed something last night when I was shutting down. I had a program freeze up on me so I hit ctl+alt+delete and in the program box satisifaction scroller was still showing as running even though I closed out of it.
Could this be causing the issue?
Just wanted to let you know what I saw. I use the satisfaction scroller every day and could really use some help getting it back up and running!
Thanks!

June 22, 2006 at 2:03 pm #178960FuturesActionMemberloco – I will check back later today. How do I know when it is updated though?
I think you are right about the stop thing. I probably just hit the X to close the box. Will hit stop from now on.
Thanks!
June 26, 2006 at 12:10 pm #178959FuturesActionMemberloco – when you have a moment, let me know if I should download another version of the satisfaction scroller to so that it works in the rooms.
Thanks!

June 27, 2006 at 1:28 pm #178955FuturesActionMemberThanks loco. Sorry for my PalTalk ignorance at times. 😳
June 27, 2006 at 9:10 pm #178954FuturesActionMemberloco – ok, I am sorry to be back about this program – I downloaded the new version and still getting the same problem – it looks like the text is being sent by the username, but nothing is appearing in the room. I’ve made sure this user name is not ignore and have checked from multiple usernames/computers.
Once again, thanks for any help.
June 27, 2006 at 9:53 pm #178953AdminAdministratorah crap lol, aigh are the messeges on the sastifaction scroller the same as when u do it by itself, and when u say the text goes to the the room does it goes to the messege box ony wher eu write it or tot the actual room scrolling messges ❓
June 27, 2006 at 9:58 pm #178952FuturesActionMemberWhen I set it up to run, it puts the text in the box where you normally put text and then it goes into the room, but only on the screen of the screenname sending the text. Noone else sees it.
Let me know if you need more.
