hey guys it works for me, since pt disable pt color i try to get out of their ads, and i found this trick on codeproject and I adapted for pt.
here you go for window xp
C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetcand open the file name hosts that has no extension with notepad and add these lines to the file
127.0.0.1 advertising.paltalk.com
127.0.0.1 people.paltalk.com
127.0.0.1
127.0.0.1
127.0.0.1save and close the file and logout pt and login, you will never see ads again, it work for me, i get out of their ads 8)
April 8, 2006 at 2:53 am #185390STREETHACKERMemberHehehe, that’s a loopback; and that’s what you call localhost: 127.0.0.1.
It redirects Paltalk’s Ad providing webpages to your computer (127.0.0.1), which doesn’t connect to the net, so it doesn’t display the ADS.
But let me warn you guys, do this with Paltalk, but don’t block other Ad services from a wide range of various webpages, you will fuck up your network card.
Good Luck 😉
