This Trick is for the newer users of the forum:
If you want to get rid of the “Upgrade to Paltalk x-Treme” window that pops up every 1-7 days when on a black nic, simply do a bit of registry editing.
1. Go To Start>Run>Type: regedit>Press OK
2.In the left hand pane make sure HKEY_CURRENT_USER is maximised, maximise “Software”.
3. Scroll down to Paltalk and maximise it.
4. Left click once on your nic.
5. In the right hand pane where the various registry entries are find: upgrade_display_interval. (Should be 5th from the bottom)
6. Right click it and click modify. Change the Value Data to something like 365.Close out registry editor and your done, now you will only get that message once every 365 days with that nic ( or whatever you set the value to), repeat the process for other nic’s of course. Also if you reinstall Paltalk it will reset this so you will have to do it again.
Pretty simple one i know but it saves messing with that window every week.April 9, 2007 at 1:23 am #185049AdminAdministratorThanks man, I hate the damn message lol, now it’s gonna take a whole year lol, might do a quick program to do this 🙂
